The Chaparral is published annually by the students of Dalton Junior College as a record in pictures as well as in words of the school year. Individual photographs of students, faculty, and staff are included as well as group photographs of school-related clubs and organizations.
This first edition of the CHAPARRAL attempts to depict the birth of a college and its first year of growth. It is dedicated to the first president of Dalton Junior College, Dr. Arthur M. Gignilliat.
