Abstract

The Faculty Senate is the representative body responsible for coordinating faculty participation in College planning and governance. In this capacity, the Senate will make recommendations, which the College President has the right to accept or reject, in the areas of academic programming, creation of new courses, and student requirements regarding admissions, graduation, and reprimands. The ByLaws are formal, written rules for the Dalton State College Faculty Senate stipulating the appropriate procedures for meetings, elections of a board of directors and officers, filling vacancies, notices, types and duties of officers, committees, assessments and other routine conduct.
